Emily graduated from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Laws with Honours Class II Div I/Diploma of Legal Practice and a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in ancient history/classical languages and modern history. 

Emily was born and raised in Newcastle and prides herself on being down to earth and approachable.
