Advisory

It’s important to know someone’s got your back.

Business and Corporate Advisory

We offer a bespoke advisory service for clients who require regular advice on a variety of in-house issues (and who need that advice, like, yesterday).

By working closely with you we gain a comprehensive knowledge of your documents, processes, clients and contractors and can offer immediate advice when things get complicated.

Knowing your business allows us to be ahead of the curve – to prevent problems before they arise and offer solutions that we know will work for you.  This is where the true value of our service is optimized.

We advise national franchisors, retailers, large engineering corporates and developers, among others.

If your team requires in-house expertise (from an outside perspective) we’d love to work with you.

Advice for Individuals

They say life happens when you’re busy making other plans.

We work with a range of professionals including financial planners and accountants to help you plan and execute ‘the big picture’ and, to have a solid back-up when things don’t go to plan.

Whether you’re starting a new venture, implementing an investment strategy or thinking about a Self-Managed Super Fund,  we can work with your finance and tax professionals to devise a plan that both optimizes your outcomes (by making the most of tax advantages) and protects your current assets.

Getting it right the first time can save you a lot down the track – particularly considering the tax and duty implications which may apply when acquiring or disposing of assets (even to related parties).

Estate Planning

Your ‘Estate’ is made up of everything you own – your house, car, shares, shoes and unfortunately, your debts.

Accordingly, it is important to think about updating your ‘Estate Planning’ documents whenever your circumstances change.

As a minimum, we advise that you:

  • Leave a Will – gifting what you want to who you want (or more importantly, who you don’t);

  • Appoint a Power of Attorney – someone to manage your legal and financial affairs should you be unable to do so; and

  • Nominate an Enduring Guardian – to make ‘health’ and ‘lifestyle’ decisions (including where you live and whether you receive or refuse medical treatment) on your behalf.

Our Estate Planning Brochure is a great place to start when thinking about your options.  Our Costs Schedule for preparing your Estate Planning documents can also be accessed.

Testamentary Trusts offer increased asset protection and tax advantages for testators who anticipate leaving complex, high value or income earning assets to their beneficiaries. If you think this maybe you, please contact us to start a conversation about your Estate Planning requirements.
